Who we are

We are a non-profit civil association that, since 2008, has been promoting technology and innovation in education, driven by the vision that every boy and girl in Paraguay can develop technological competencies and fundamental skills for their future.

We began with the One Laptop per Child (UCPN) program, which worked with over 17,500 students and 500 teachers for nearly 12 years. In 2014, we opened the Serranía Municipal Technology Center (CTSM), which helped establish Caacupé as an educational innovation hub where technology is used as a tool for social inclusion to foster digital fluency within the community.

Throughout these years, we have worked on more than 10 educational projects and programs, alongside over 61 strategic partners and companies that have placed their trust in us. All our initiatives are consistently grounded in our three pillars: education, technology, and community.

Since 2020, we have been developing the META Portal, a free educational platform dedicated to strengthening teacher and student training across the entire country. To date, this initiative has reached more than 25,000 students and 23,000 teachers nationwide.

As part of our mission’s expansion, since 2016 we have also offered advisory services and specialized workshops in areas such as computational thinking, programming for children, maker spaces, digital citizenship, educational robotics, and digital fabrication.

In 2025, we opened PYensa, a creative technological space in the city of Asunción designed to provide the educational community with a high-quality environment for learning, collaboration, and exploration, equipped with cutting-edge tools and resources.

Education

At PYeduca, education is the central pillar that guides all our actions. We firmly believe that quality learning is the foundation for personal and social development. We work to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to face the challenges of the modern world. Through innovative programs, we promote an inclusive education model designed to develop technological competencies and essential life skills. Teachers are also key protagonists in this process, continuously strengthening their training to transform classrooms into dynamic and meaningful learning spaces.

Technology

Technology is a key tool for closing gaps and creating opportunities. At PYeduca, we use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enrich educational processes by providing access to digital resources and fostering skills that are essential in today’s world. Our mission is to ensure that all students and teachers have access to the technological tools they need to learn, create, and innovate.

Community

The impact of PYeduca goes beyond the classroom, engaging the entire community in a collective effort toward development. We promote the active participation of families, local leaders, and strategic partners to build an environment that supports and values education. Through community activities and collaborative projects, we seek to strengthen the social fabric, fostering a culture of learning and solidarity that drives collective progress.

EDUCATION + TECHNOLOGY — WHY?

PYeduca’s experience shows that integrating technology into education ensures equitable access to learning opportunities in the 21st century. Initiatives such as One Laptop per Child (UCPN), implemented in the city of Caacupé, exemplify how technology can transform the educational landscape by providing tools that empower the community.

Working with both education and technology allows us to:

  1. Access global knowledge:
Technology enables students to reach information and educational resources from around the world, broadening their horizons and preparing them for a globalized workforce.
  2. Reduce the digital divide:
These programs help bridge access gaps between urban and rural areas, public and private sectors, ensuring that all children—regardless of their socioeconomic background—have equal opportunities to learn and grow.
  3. Foster digital skills:
In a world where technological competencies are essential, incorporating digital tools in the classroom ensures that students acquire the skills needed to actively participate in the knowledge society.
  4. Train teachers:
By working alongside educational institutions, PYeduca also focuses on strengthening teachers' capacities, offering training in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enhance their teaching methodologies.
  5. Generate community impact:
Beyond individual benefits, educational technology creates a positive impact on communities by promoting economic and social development, encouraging innovation, and strengthening civic participation.

OUR PILLARS

  • Close and empathetic, because we understand the reality of Paraguayan students and teachers.
  • Committed and consistent, because we act with a social purpose and long-term dedication.
  • Innovative yet prudent, because we do not adopt technology as a trend, but for its real impact.
  • Responsible and safe, because we provide technological tools following criteria that protect users.
  • Inspiring and constructive, because we promote critical thinking and empower people to take the lead.
  • Collaborative and community-oriented, because we believe education cannot exist without collective commitment.
