WHAT IS IT?

The Municipal Serranía Technology Center (CTSM) is a space for educational and technological innovation located in Caacupé, driven by PYeduca in partnership with the Municipality of Caacupé.Its main goal is to promote digital inclusion and the development of technological skills in the community through workshops and activities based on STEAM methodologies (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).The center offers training in programming, robotics, digital design, and other key competencies for children, youth, teachers, and entrepreneurs.

Since its creation, the CTSM has impacted thousands of people, becoming a benchmark in community digital education. In addition to hosting initiatives such as the “One Laptop per Child” program, it organizes innovative activities like the “STEAM CAMP” and “SCRATCH DAY,” where participants explore emerging technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence—in a playful and creative way.The CTSM represents a strategic commitment to high-quality, inclusive public education adapted to the challenges of the 21st century.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

The Municipal Technology Center aims to provide the citizens of Caacupé with a space for learning and training, helping position the city as the country’s first technological city.The CTSM offers workshops and events for children, youth, and adults from the district and surrounding areas, contributing to digital inclusion and community development.

Featured Activities and Programs:

  • STEAM Camp and Technology Camp: A technology camp for children aged 8 to 12, where participants took part in workshops on weaving and stamping techniques, simulations, experiments, structure design, programming, and recreational activities.
  • Mbarakaja Ára: A celebration of Scratch Day aimed at promoting the use of Scratch among children and young people, making it easier for them to learn coding and programming in a fun way.
  • Training for Volunteer Firefighters and the Caacupé Youth Brigade: Training workshops were held—including snake identification and first aid—directed at volunteer firefighters and members of the youth brigade.
MUNICIPALITY PARTNERSHIP

Since 2014, the Serranía Technology Center has opened its doors to the community, offering a space for learning and innovation. Through free workshops and events, we promote digital and social inclusion for children, youth, and adults in Caacupé and neighboring areas.

In 2016, we began a new stage in partnership with the Municipality of Caacupé, establishing ourselves in a new space provided by the Municipality and strengthening our commitment to the community. Together, we develop activities that promote access to technology, learning, and local development.
